The experience Waynesburg University gave me exceeded every expectation I had. When I turn back to look at my time, I see a multitude of things.
The kinds of people that make their way to Waynesburg, whether students, faculty or staff, are evidently placed there for a reason: they make it better. I consistently felt supported and seen, and was able to truly get to know my professors who jumped at every opportunity to help me in my success. I can also see the memories made with now lifelong friends that are led by faith and will encourage me to lean into my own. Being able to form foundational beliefs in a place that is steeped in the tradition of pointing toward Christ is a blessing I’m grateful for.
I treasured my four years, and I hope all those that come after me will do the same. Waynesburg is the kind of place that you can easily learn to call home, which makes it all the more difficult when the time comes to say goodbye.
