My time at Waynesburg started unexpectedly. As I was looking for colleges, I got approached about playing on the basketball and volleyball team. So, I applied and got in! It was the only school I applied to. I grew up a lot in my time there through the help of friends and the faculty there, I was able to narrow down my personal goals and set myself up for my future career.
I started in biology. The experiences I got there taught me a lot and eventually led me to exercise science. Being around such a great atmosphere and passionate people helped me realize that I wanted to be a physical therapist. My advisors and professors helped me be prepared and take the next steps. I am now currently in WVU DPT program to get my doctorate in physical therapy.
My time at Waynesburg was great. I had a lot of fun. Your time in college is what you make of it. It's important to do well and to work hard. At the same time, it is important to take time to experience life and to get to know yourself better. Don't think too hard, don't worry too much, but see everything as an opportunity to grow, to learn, to have fun.
I am thankful for my time at WU and I am thankful that I was able to have such a great experience that led me to and helped prepare me for my next part of life.
