COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Learn how our member companies have responded to help meet the needs of our community during the coronavirus pandemic.
Today's corporate social responsibility encompasses more than just sustainability and philanthropy for businesses, it is about creating value for all and impacting communities in meaningful ways. Exceptional social performance is no longer considered a bonus for companies to value, it has become vital to their success.
The Center for Corporate Social Responsibility at Waynesburg University seeks to build a network of practitioners in the region dedicated to sharing best practices in corporate social responsibility work. As a membership organization, valuable resources will be shared with members to build stronger and more valuable corporate social responsibility programs.
The Center is located at the Waynesburg University Southpointe Center.
All in-person member roundtables and public seminars are being postponed until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Members will receive regular communications via email on virtual meetings and conference calls to discuss ongoing COVID-19 relief-action opportunities and shifting philanthropic strategies in the midst of mitigation policies.

The Center hosted a large-scale, multiple-site volunteer project event April 11, 2019, in celebration of National Volunteer Week. Projects were held throughout Greene and Washington counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. The event was strategically crafted to meet some of the initial needs of the partner agencies and their communities as identified by data collected through a micro-course on food insecurity, recently sponsored by Carnegie Mellon University and Waynesburg University.
Nearly 70 volunteers from 12 member companies participated in 11 projects at four sites. Learn about our impact below.
