Chemistry Merit Scholarship

A renewable scholarship worth $3,000 per year

This scholarship recognizes talented students who wish to pursue a major in the chemical sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, forensic chemistry, chemical education or pharmaceutical science). Those that receive the scholarship will be required to participate in chemistry-related student organizations and outreaches. 

Each year up to three incoming freshmen at Waynesburg University will be selected. This scholarship is renewable up to four years as long as the recipient remains in a chemistry-related major. This scholarship is worth $3,000 per year.

Applicant Requirements

  • Be an accepted first-year student at Waynesburg University;
  • GPA of at least 3.5 to qualify; and
  • Major in chemical sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, forensic chemistry, chemical education or pharmaceutical science).

How to apply

Qualified candidates interested in the Chemistry Merit Scholarship should apply for admission to Waynesburg University by Nov. 1. Interested students who are accepted to the University will be asked to complete an additional online application.
