This summer, Waynesburg University will hold nine unique camps to cultivate learning, fellowship and personal growth. Each camp specializes in one area and promotes hands-on skills for that field. The following options are excellent opportunities for students wishing to pursue a specific discipline or hone their skills.
Space as Place - Adventure Greene County: A Knowledge for Freedom Program
Join fellow students to travel, learn and experience adventure through Space as Place. From Sunday, July 13, to Friday, Aug. 1, high school juniors and seniors will stay on Waynesburg University’s campus and have the opportunity to explore fields of interest, learn how to use tools in the eHIVE Makerspace and travel to historical locations like Washington, D.C., and Gettysburg. Students can also earn three Waynesburg University credits by participating.

STEAM Camp
Discover the wonders of creativity and innovation with Waynesburg’s STEAM Camp, supported by EQT. The immersive camp is the perfect place for students to explore future options and connect with prospective peers. Attending the camp will optimize learning in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
The camp will be held from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20. The cost to attend is $450. Register at the link below for a week of fun, collaborative learning.
Sports Announcing & Sports Journalism Camp
Embrace the sports broadcaster within with Waynesburg’s Sports Announcing and Sports Journalism Camp, which will be held from Monday, June 16, to Friday, June 20.
Interact with potential classmates and receive practical, hands-on experience that will prepare students for college courses and future professions. Activities include sports reporting, conducting interviews, narrating play-by-plays and more.
Current high school sophomores, juniors and graduating seniors are eligible to attend the camp and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Neurodiverse Student Skills Camp
Waynesburg University’s Neurodiverse Student Skills Camp is an excellent opportunity to get a glimpse of life on a college campus and connect with future peers, current students and faculty. The camp is perfect for anyone wishing to properly prepare themselves before entering the college setting.
Students will reside on campus from Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18, as they explore various topics related to personal development and student success. Discussions will include time management, self-advocacy, social interactions and several more.

Nurse Camp
Explore Waynesburg University’s distinguished Nursing Program via the 2025 Nurse Camp. The camp will be held from Wednesday, July 23, through Friday, July 25, and is an incredible opportunity for high school juniors and seniors interested in studying nursing.
Join fellow students and dive into the nursing profession, where participants will learn hands-on skills and gain experience in the Simulation Lab. And while on campus, seize the excellent opportunity to earn a CPR certification through the American Heart Association.

Fine Arts Academy Camps
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the captivating power of music and art with Waynesburg University’s distinguished Fine Arts Academy camps. The Academy’s various programs are welcome to all ages and include group classes ranging from Woodwind for Beginners to Harry Potter art to Beginner Bagpipes. In addition to group sessions, there are several opportunities for private lessons and free University programs for young adults and above.
Private summer lessons begin in May and can be customizable to fit various needs. Registration is always open and these one-on-one lessons are ideal for direct learning.

CSI Camp
Explore the fields of forensic science and criminal justice with Waynesburg University’s CSI camp. The Department of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences and the Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science are excited to offer three workshop opportunities to junior and senior high school students interested in criminal justice or forensic investigation.
These three on-campus workshops will be offered on Wednesday, May 21, Wednesday, June 25, and Wednesday, July 16. While on campus, students will immerse themselves in the science behind crime scenes, realistic scenarios and use-of-force tactics.

Cheerleading Day Camp
Join Waynesburg’s most lively crew for a day of positivity, fun and community. All students, both male and female, in grades K-12 are welcome to attend the 2025 Cheerleading Day Camp on Saturday, July 26.
The camp will take place in the auxiliary gym in Waynesburg University’s Marisa Field House, where participants will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading and hone their jumps, stunting and cheer skills. Registration cost is $40, which includes instruction, a fun cheer bow and a pizza party. Athletics Camps
Engage with incredible athletic opportunities through Waynesburg University’s various sport’s athletic camps, intended to prepare students for collegiate athletics and further current skill sets.
